Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for more than 20 years. Her most well-known role was Skyler on AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and won Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 and 2014. Other roles she has played comprise Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and was awed by acting when she was in Preparatory School. In the late 70's, she and her family moved to Ohio. The theatre studies she pursued was through Northwestern University. A semester was completed at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was employed in the Chicago theatre for a number of years before attempting TV and movie role. Anna's debut character was Arden, in Down the Shore. She played in 29 episodes. She also guest-starred on the show. played in Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. Then it was only in the latter part of 1990 when she was cast in a role in The Practice. The mid-2000's saw her was placed in Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler was her role in Breaking Bad. Sully and Deadwood are also a the highlights of her work. Gunn was also on stages in David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn also was a part of a four-part audio-play series named "Numbered Days". Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. Its strain and ultimate ending mirrors the last decades of Walter White.
