Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, often called Ashanti was born on October 13 on the 13th of October, 1980 in Glen Cove New York United States. She is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Ashanti is a teen singer-songwriter and actress from the United States has been signed to Murder Inc. Records to release a single in 2002. Ashanti appeared the same day on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? Also, she was featured on Fat Joe's song"What's Luv!" and the Ja Rules' track Always on Time, both of which became huge hit songs. The first ever female to be atop the highest two spots across the United States, with Foolish first and What's Luv? at number two. Let's celebrate the special occasion by celebrating it together. Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known as Ashanti was born in Glen Cove New York on October 13 1980. Tina Douglas, her mother is a former teacher of dance. Ken-Kaide Douglas is her father. Kenashia Tia Douglas is younger. Douglas has named her in honour of her mother, the Ashanti Empire which was located in Ghana where women had power and influence. Douglas was hoping for Ashanti to follow the same model. James was her great-grandfather. James was a leader in the civil rights movement alongside Martin Luther King Jr. during the 1960s. Her mother discovered her talent after listening to her sing Mary J. Blige's Reminisce. Ashanti made an appearance in the film of Spike Lee's Malcolm X (1992) as well as Ted Demme's Who's the Man? as a young extra. There were a few appearances by her appeared in music video clip including K.R.S. Act One's MC's"Like They Don't Know" as well as 8 Off's Ghetto Woman. The Declaration was the fourth Ashanti studio album, which was made available on the 3rd of June in 2008. Hey Baby was released for radio and on digital platforms on the 16th of October, 2009. She was as a character in the Christmas in the City film and also played Latasha in Army Wives. Aitch made use of the Rock wit U sample in Baby on the 10th day of March in 2022.
